August Ballot Amendments and Candidates<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope your Memorial Day Weekend was good, as we paid tribute to those who served and gave the ultimate sacrifice for this country and our freedom. Thank you to ALL of our veterans!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memorial Day began May 30, 1868, in remembrance of the many many people who died during the civil war. Ordinary people gave their lives in order to preserve and keep this country – united and committed to the American principle that ALL are created equal. A principle that said NO to slavery! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently this country appears to be embroiled in similar philosophical wars.  The super rich are bribing their way – to mergers, to less regulation, to unfettered data center growth while receiving tax cuts paid for with cuts to  Medicaid and food stamps. The government is eliminating DEI programs and legislative seats for people of color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prices for essential goods, like gas & meat, are out of sight. Missouri Republicans gerrymandered Congressional districts for Trump, are trying to destroy the people\u2019s initiative petition process and are seeking to reestablish a total ban on abortion!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will the POWER of the wealthy elite be able to crush the POWER OF THE PEOPLE?   <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 WE SAY NO!!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These issues make the 2026 elections THE MOST IMPORTANT of our lifetime.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump\u2019s war of choice continues. He is the proverbial bull in a china shop, destroying everything he touches -international order, world economies and global stability. He acts without the input of Congress, advisors, or allies affected. He sees himself unconstrained – a KING, not required to ask Congress about tariffs, war or the destruction of monuments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please email or call Senators Hawley ( 202-224-6154) and Senator Schmitt (202-224-5721)<\/strong>. Write\/call your US Senators and Representative to demand that they stop these unauthorized military strikes on Iran and encourage Trump to testify on the Epstein files<\/strong>   Hawley.senate.gov<\/a> ,  Schmitt.senate.gov<\/a>   FYI: the Save Act is also on the Five Calls app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may not get through but they will probably tally your call so they know how voters feel about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are unprecedented times which can feel chaotic and unsettling. Besides the move towards authoritarianism at the federal level, Missouri Republicans have chosen to deny voters representation and a voice in government.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 If you are feeling overwhelmed, TAKE ACTION<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Small actions make a difference.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One action is to contact your US Senators and US Representative with your concerns or suggestions. Keep your letter short and respectful. Legislators keep count of the people for & against legislation or ideas.<\/strong>  Their phone numbers\/emails are below. FYI: Emailing at the federal level requires that you go first to the person\u2019s website, click on \u201cCONTACT US\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One way to STOP THE MADNESS is by writing Senators Hawley and Schmitt and your Congressperson. (possible Messages: No money for ICE, Accountability NOT immunity for ICE, Fire Stephen Miller or Fire Kristi Noem, No more masks, Release the Epstein Files)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The assaults on the Constitution, the chaos of tariffs & deportations are hugely unpopular. That means that 2026 is going to be an unpredictable election year. Anything may happen! Anything!  That unpredictability is an opportunity for Democrats \u2013 If we are ready to act, ready to donate, Ready to \u2018JUST DO SOMETHING!\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many different things you can do to help. Donating, Protesting, Emailing your elected represetatives, Talking to people, Social Media posting, Car Magnet Messages and more. Everyone can participate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
