(Passage of this measure would doom all future initiative petition efforts except those proposed by the Mo Legislature. The Legislature does not have to follow this law. Examples of IP Measures passed: Medicaid expansion, increase in minimum wage &amp; sick leave, Hancock amendment, campaign finance reform, and nonpartisan court system)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Amendment 5\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; requires the phase out and\u00a0<strong>elimination of the individual income tax<\/strong>\u00a0based on revenue growth, requires the reduction of property taxes and other local taxes to offset any local sales tax revenue increases, while preserving local funding for public schools. (According to the Mo Budget Project, Amendment 5 would increase taxes for most Missourians, damage communities and the economy. The taxes collected would go<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>towards our community and protect small businesses.
