These are unprecedented times which can feel chaotic and unsettling. Besides the move towards authoritarianism at the federal level, Missouri Republicans have chosen to deny voters representation and a voice in government.
As you know, Trump demanded Missouri redraw the Congressional maps to protect him. In addition, Governor Kehoe decided that Republicans would eliminate the very important and well used Initiative Petition (IP) process – which Missourians used to expand healthcare, overturn the total ban on abortion, increase minimum wage, expand sick leave, legalize marijuana and overturn Right to Work.
On September 10th, 4000 people protested these unpopular bills in Jefferson City. North County Democrats were there, talking to legislators and letting our voices be heard.
The assaults on the Constitution, the chaos of tariffs & deportations are hugely unpopular. That means that 2026 is going to be an unpredictable election year. Anything may happen! Anything! That unpredictability is an opportunity for Democrats – IF we are ready to act, ready to donate, Ready to ‘JUST DO SOMETHING!”.
There are many different things you can do to help. Donating, Protesting, Emailing your elected represetatives, Talking to people, Social Media posting, Car Magnet Messages and more. Everyone can participate.
